In lieu of Christmas cards and gifts for our clients, our team sponsor’s a family at Christmas. We are given a choice of families and then choose one. We buys gifts for the members of the family – both want and need items – and buy groceries for them so that they can enjoy a traditional Christmas dinner. We then send a Christmas letter out to our clients providing them with a bit of information about the family that we sponsored, what we purchased for them, and our best wishes to their families throughout the holiday season. We have been doing this for the past 11 years.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children from 3 - 18 years of age with life-threatening illnesses to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. It is the largest wish granting organization in the world, with 9 chapters in Canada, and 21 international affiliates spanning 5 continents. The Make-A-Wish Foundation has granted more than 85,000 wishes around the world since its inception in 1980.
